Hmm, I'm here in Malaysia. Should've brought my laptop along. Theres wireless XD.

Anyway, there are tons of little kids here. Lol. There's 2 little cousins, who are shorter even if I sit down and they stand up. One is older than the other, and also taller by a few centimetres. The older one is naughtier. Want to climb here climb there, run, play around, get his hands and feet dirty. The younger one is safe and mellow. Cute too, but, lol, he has an attitude. When I sit on the sofa and he walks across me, I smile at him and he look away and u-turn away. When I try to reach towards him he also turn away. Such an attitude... XD Then when my mother was carrying him she ask him if he wants me to cary him, and he say "Bu yao." Tsch.

But hey, this year's CNY celebration is pretty boring. No one was cheering. Not me, of course. There was no atmosphere lor. Last year's outdoors was so shiok, with the danger of weather and running away keeping us on our toes.
Lots of critisicm, if you ask me. First of all, some of the female performers from the opera troupe were NOT of performance quality. Simply put, they can't perform. A chinese dance, or oprea, even, needs to be ghraceful. And that's what they lack: lots of grace. An arm held out should be curved, flowing and pretty, but some of them just stick out their arm like that. Totally not graceful and ugly to watch at. Furthermore they don't really smile all the time. When performing, especially Chinese New Year, for goodness sake, SMILE!!!! Only one was smiling all the time, and was a good dancer. The rest.... I can't bear to watch them. They even wear spectacles!!! Unless it is really servere and terrible, NEVER WEAR SPECTACLES WHEN PERFORMING. My god. I was so pissed that these people don't know the basics of being on stage. And one dancer really pissed me off. Not only was she wearing severe black rimmed specs, she had a chou lian the whole time. The whole performance she didn't smile AT ALL. Super pissed lar.
Oh yeah, the MCs. The male chinese one was good. The female english one, horrible. She kept on ad-libbing. And was horrible at it. Need to continuously look at her cards. The male one was fantastic, beside her. He bothered to memorise his lines, without a need for ad-libbing or looking at his cards, delivering his lines perfectly. The female one had al the singlish lahs, lors, lehs, amd the horrendous "blah blah blah, erm yeah". The "erm, yeah"s always get me. I may not have emceed before, but as a listener I was insulted. Its like you never prepare and still dare to tell me a poorly prepared script.

Lots of disappointment. Oh well. At least, I had a fantastic celebration last year with my class. That's good enough for me (:
